Winter weather is forecast to continue for the next several days. Richardson ISD has made the following plans:
Monday, February 15: Student Holiday/Staff Professional Learning Day
Tuesday, February 16 – Thursday, February 18th: The forecast calls for additional inclement weather, including possible snow and icy conditions. In the event that weather prevents both students and staff from arriving to school safely, staff and all learners – both face to face and virtual – will move to 100% virtual learning/work from home.
Virtual learning for students and working from home for staff would continue each day until weather conditions allow for a safe return to school.
An announcement will be made daily by 5:30 a.m. and shared via a Blackboard School Messenger phone call and email, Facebook, Twitter, the district website, and local news channels. If your child is a current in-person learner, but was absent today, Friday Feb. 12, and does not have their school issued device with them at home or needs an internet hot spot, please contact your child’s principal by 4 p.m. today to make arrangements.
Please continue to monitor RISD.org and the district’s social media channels for additional updates and inclement weather information.
