RISD Honors TI Innovations in STEM, Fujitsu Trailblazer Award Winners

The TI Innovations in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Teaching Award honors instructors who enhance student achievement in STEM through the use of innovative teaching methods and technology.

Administered through The Richardson ISD Foundation, the goal of these annual awards is to raise the profile and importance of quality STEM instruction among teachers and the community. The recognition provides incentive for outstanding teachers to continue quality, innovative instruction in RISD.

This year’s honorees are Tarshena Anozie of Forest Meadow Junior High and John Zancana of Pearce High School. Click here to see more.

In 2010, The RISD Foundation and Fujitsu established the Trailblazer award for deserving RISD elementary teachers “who successfully integrate creative, innovative uses of technology as part of the instruction process.

These teachers also successfully seek professional development activities and provide leadership by working constructively with others for continuous growth and development all while meeting student needs.
