class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Overview<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-5973ab5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"5973ab5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>For at least the last 20 years, the district has planned for and called a bond election every five years. RISD uses Bond proceeds to fund capital items such as construction and renovation and the equipment of schools and other district facilities, land purchases, technology, school buses and other district vehicles. RISD last held a bond election in May 2021 and the district currently is completing the projects and purchases authorized under that bond program.<\/p>\n\n<p>Administration has started preliminary data gathering for the next bond election to be held no earlier than November 2025. Trustees commissioned the creation of a 2025 Bond steering committee to assist the district with prioritizing narrowed resources for the next bond election.
