{"id":13110,"date":"2022-12-12T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-12-12T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/?p=13110"},"modified":"2026-09-09T07:23:03","modified_gmt":"2026-09-09T12:23:03","slug":"new-way-to-submit-absent-notes-electronically","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/new-way-to-submit-absent-notes-electronically\/","title":{"rendered":"Every Campus Now Accepts Absentee Notes Electronically","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/focus.risd.org\/focus\/index.php\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">FOCUS is the safe and secure online portal<\/a>&nbsp;available to RISD parents to access their student\u2019s grades, schedule, attendance, and assessment history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RISD parents and guardians are now able to submit an attendance note electronically via FOCUS.&nbsp;<strong>Handwritten&nbsp;notes will still be accepted at all campuses, as well.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To submit an attendance note electronically, parents will log in to FOCUS and will be able to see \u201cAlerts&#8221; indicating a student absence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click on the specific &#8220;Alert&#8221; to open a new page that lists absences. In the &#8220;Excuse Note&#8221; column, click on &#8220;Upload&#8221; and choose the note to submit.
