{"id":16384,"date":"2023-05-05T08:01:00","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T13:01:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/?p=16384"},"modified":"2023-05-05T15:20:39","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T20:20:39","slug":"juniors-achieve-perfect-act-score","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/juniors-achieve-perfect-act-score\/","title":{"rendered":"Three RISD Juniors Achieve Perfect ACT Score","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Richardson High School juniors Nicholas Webb and Isabelle Agarwal and Lake Highlands junior Julian Villamar-Robbins each earned a perfect score on the ACT, which is achieved by fewer than 0.25% of students in the nation who took the test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>More than 1.3 million juniors have taken the ACT this year and only 3,376 scored a perfect 36 in each of the four sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEarning a top score on the ACT is a remarkable achievement,\u201d ACT CEO Janet Godwin said. \u201cA student\u2019s exceptional score of 36 will provide any college or university with ample evidence of their readiness for the academic rigors that lie ahead.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.act.org\/content\/act\/en-texas.html\">ACT is a curriculum-based achievement exam<\/a> that measures what students have learned in school. Students who earn a 36 composite score have likely mastered all of the skills and knowledge they will need to succeed in first-year college courses in the core subject areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>RISD had two other students achieve a near-perfect composite score, falling just shy in one of the four sections.
