The Grow2Teach program is available to Richardson ISD students who want to pursue a career in teaching and education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

RISD high school students who successfully complete requirements within the CTE Teaching Internship program are eligible. Students can earn an associate’s in teaching at any RISD high school and an educational aide certification while still in high school. In addition, they complete two years of internship experiences, which can be a paid internship through a partnership with Xplore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late April, about 200 students in the Class of 2024 were recognized for their outstanding achievements and provided offer letters to return to RISD by the HR department. Mentor teachers also were feted with gifts and celebrated by their mentee education interns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Robert DeHaas, vice provost for the school of education at Dallas College, delivered the keynote address and assured students the opportunity to complete their bachelor\u2019s degree in education, including teacher certifications, from Dallas College, at no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you, Dr. DeHass and Dallas College for nurturing the next generation of educators for Richardson ISD.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
