In 2023, RISD was one of more than 120 school districts that joined litigation to stop the release of ratings, contending that TEA did not follow the law when applying the state accountability system to 2022-23 ratings. Separately, some other Texas school districts have an active lawsuit against the state related to the release of 2023-24 ratings. While RISD is not part of that litigation, the district <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/risd-reports-staar-results-accountability-info\/\">previously shared an update about 2023-24 STAAR scores<\/a>, and the corresponding ratings should eventually be released by the state at the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of ongoing&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/strategicplan2023\/\">strategic planning efforts<\/a>, RISD remains committed to sharing additional data and information on how our district is performing that may not be reflected in a letter grade. This includes district and individual campus profiles that are in development for 2025-26 that will reflect not only academic performance, but other important information that our community values, such as attendance rates, college and career readiness, extra-curricular activities, and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cAs we work to finish strong in the final weeks of the 2024-25 school year, we are in a much different environment than we were in 2023,\u201d said Superintendent Branum. \u201cWe\u2019re now in year three of our RISD Learner Framework, guided by our North Star goal of student academic growth. We know from our 2025 MAP data that our students are growing academically and on track to meet their growth goals. I\u2019m very proud of, and encouraged by, our progress over the last two years.
