{"id":40131,"date":"2025-11-05T11:24:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T17:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/?p=40131"},"modified":"2025-11-05T11:24:12","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T17:24:12","slug":"risd-voters-approve-bond-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/risd-voters-approve-bond-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"RISD Voters Approve Bond 2025","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Thank you, Richardson ISD voters for approving all three Propositions on the district\u2019s $1.4 billion bond package, during the November 4, 2025 election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The three propositions include funds designed to address projects across the district as prioritized by the Bond Steering Committee:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prop A: Construction and Instructional Materials &#8211; approved by 63.88 % of voters.<\/strong><br>Includes construction and renovations at six Middle Schools, CTE Center and Environmental Center. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/bond-2025-proposition-a\/\">Learn more about Prop A.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prop B: Technology Devices- approved by 64.68 % of voters.\u00a0<\/strong><br>Includes planned replacement of devices for students, staff, CTE labs, and library and media centers. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/bond-2025-proposition-b\/\">Learn more about Prop B.<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prop C: Stadium Upgrades- approved by 52.83 % of voters.<\/strong><br>Includes ADA upgrades, lighting, and turf replacement at RISD\u2019s two largest stadiums. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/bond-2025-proposition-c\/\">Learn more about Prop C.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>More than <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallascountyvotes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/Upload-6.pdf#page=20\">32,000 RISD voters participated in the election, per unofficial results<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank you, Richardson ISD voters, the overwhelming approval of all three Bond Propositions is a profound statement of support for our students, our staff, and the future of public education in RISD,\u201d said Superintendent Tabitha Branum. \u201cThis historic $1.4 billion investment will allow us to immediately move forward with critical projects, including the completion of our middle school transformation and the building of a state-of-the-art CTE Center. This is about providing the modern, equitable facilities and programs our 36,000 students deserve.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe RISD Board of Trustees is deeply grateful for the community\u2019s trust in approving this comprehensive bond package,\u201d said Board President Chris Poteet. \u201cWith the passage of all three propositions, our community has made a powerful investment in every part of the student experience\u2014from academics and career preparation to technology and athletics.
