Trustee Megan Timme shares a recap of the Dec. 11 meeting. Highlights included student and staff recognitions, information about the upcoming Middle School Transition projects as approved by voters through the 2025 Bond, and approval of the 2026-27 and 2027-28 calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"December 11, 2025 Board Meeting Recap\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QDSPhY4esh4?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Board Recognitions:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Partner Recognition:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Unity Behavioral Health\u00a0<\/em>supported the district with a coat drive for RISD students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Partner Recognition:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Doing Good in Dallas, Stella Jet Experiences, and Trina&#8217;s Kids Foundation\u00a0<\/em>for hosting the Day of Joy for RISD students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Campus Recognition:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Yale Elementary<\/em>\u00a0was\u00a0named a Model Professional Learning Community (PLC) at Work school for successfully implementing collaborative, results-driven learning practices.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Staff Recognition:\u00a0<\/strong><em>Caitlin Zancana,\u00a0<\/em>Pearce HS teacher, was awarded the Dual Credit Teacher Excellence award from Dallas College.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Student Recognitions:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Raina Cohen<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Ray Hunter<\/em>, Berkner HS, were invited to design an ornament for the House Chamber Christmas Tree 2025 Ornament Showcase in the Texas Capitol&#8217;s House Chamber.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Alexandra Nini,<\/em>\u00a0Pearce HS, and\u00a0<em>Mia Chavez<\/em>, Richardson HS, were the winners of this year&#8217;s holiday card contest.
