Now in its eleventh year, the Honor Roll awards top-performing schools in Texas for outperforming their peers in closing achievement gaps and improving student outcomes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Join us in congratulating the following schools for earning this prestigious recognition:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Arapaho Classical Magnet &#8211; Scholar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brentfield Elementary School &#8211; Scholar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prairie Creek Elementary School &#8211; Scholar<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Math Science Technology Magnet &#8211; Star<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Schools are split into two categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Star Schools: Populations with greater than, or equal to, 33% of students designated as economically disadvantaged (high poverty).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scholar Schools: Populations with fewer than 33% of students designated as economically disadvantaged (low poverty).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, only 1,076 schools in Texas made the list, representing approximately 15% of eligible schools.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Honor Roll recognizes schools based solely on objective student achievement data, highlighting campuses that demonstrate consistently high performance on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) across all student populations served. These schools are distinguished for accelerating student learning and improving outcomes for historically underserved populations, particularly in the critical areas of reading, writing, math, and science; equipping students with the fundamental skills needed for success in the workforce and in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are incredibly proud of our Honor Roll schools and the outstanding results they consistently show in student achievement,\u201d says Superintendent Tabitha Branum. \u201cWe strive for every student to reach and exceed their academic growth goals and ultimately walk across our RISD stage at graduation future-ready. \u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ERP is part of a national campaign to engage business leaders in celebrating successful schools and modeling best practices in education.
