This week, RISD celebrated the grand opening of the new Richardson ISD Metrocare clinic, Empower, housed at the Thurgood Marshall Student Success Academy. Through a partnership with Metrocare Services, the district is bringing accessible school-based and home-based mental health care resources to the community. The clinic is open to serve all students and their families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Available services include 1-on-1 skills sessions, intervention, and clinical assessments, as well as mental health awareness and education. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To make a referral or to learn more information about the program, contact your school counselor or visit the Metrocare Services Empower <\/a>website.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we prioritize mental wellness, we invest in the well-being of the whole child beyond the classroom. RISD Counseling and Social Services seeks to deliver equitable access to a comprehensive school counseling program for all students.
