{"id":46464,"date":"2026-08-21T13:13:24","date_gmt":"2026-08-21T18:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/?p=46464"},"modified":"2026-08-21T13:16:19","modified_gmt":"2026-08-21T18:16:19","slug":"sat-school-day-26-27","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/sat-school-day-26-27\/","title":{"rendered":"SAT School Day for 11th Graders","gt_translate_keys":[{"key":"rendered","format":"text"}]},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RISD is excited to offer enhanced college readiness testing support to high school juniors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Beginning this school year, RISD will transition from offering the ACT School Day to offering the SAT School Day for all juniors.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This change is designed to better support students as they prepare for college and career opportunities. There are several benefits to this transition, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Stronger Alignment with Existing Testing <\/strong>\u2013 RISD already provides the PSAT to students in grades 9, 10, and 11. Since the PSAT and SAT are developed by the same organization and share a similar format, students will be able to build upon the skills and experience they gain through the PSAT each year.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Access to High-Quality Free Resources <\/strong>\u2013 Students will have access to a variety of free SAT preparation tools, including the <strong>Bluebook\u2122 testing application <\/strong>and personalized practice through <strong>Khan Academy\u00ae<\/strong>, making it easier than ever to prepare for test day.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>While RISD will administer the SAT to juniors during the school day, students will continue to have opportunities to take <strong>either the SAT or the ACT on national Saturday test dates<\/strong>.&nbsp; Students interested in registering for a Saturday administration may do so directly through&nbsp; the testing organizations:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>SAT Registration: <a href=\"http:\/\/collegeboard.org\">CollegeBoard.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACT Registration: <a href=\"http:\/\/act.org\">ACT.org<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We are excited about the opportunities this transition provides and look forward to supporting our students as they prepare for success after high school.
