In Richardson ISD, AVID is helping students strengthen critical thinking, organization, collaboration, and self-advocacy skills that prepare them for future success.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year, we are proud to celebrate AVID\u2019s impact in our community, including the four AVID National Demonstration Schools: Richardson High School, Berkner High School, Richardson West Arts and Technology Magnet, and Yale Elementary. These campuses have become centers of AVID teaching and learning and serve as models for schools across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our AVID campuses clearly demonstrate an ongoing pursuit of excellence to ensure college readiness for AVID students. Their commitment to the AVID framework supports improved academic performance for all students on campus through a more equitable, student-centered approach to learning. These outcomes reflect the dedication of our educators and the determination of students who are setting ambitious goals and working intentionally toward them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AVID Day is also a chance to elevate student voice. Students and educators across Richardson ISD are reflecting on their journeys by completing the phrase \u201cBecause of AVID, I\u2026\u201d and sharing what this experience has made possible for them.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite our families and community partners to join the celebration by following along on social media using the hashtag #MyAVIDWhy.
