Mr. Durham brings extensive experience in school district finance, operations and regulatory compliance, along with a strong commitment to aligning financial strategies with educational goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Before joining RISD, Mr. Durham served as Chief Financial Officer at Midland ISD, Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD and Alpine ISD. During his time at Midland ISD, he was able to address a $42.5 million deficit caused by the loss of funding from the state, strengthen financial processes, improve regulatory compliance and oversee a $1.4 billion bond program.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Durham began his career in education at Alpine ISD, where he supported a successful bond program and worked to align financial strategies with the district\u2019s educational priorities. He continued this work in Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD where he played a key role in the successful execution of two bond programs and the management of district financial operations. He also helped the district achieve multiple finding-free audits, a milestone the district had not reached in more than a decade.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He earned a bachelor\u2019s degree in finance and a master\u2019s degree in business administration from Angelo State University.
