Elementary students will be released from school two hours early, and secondary students will be released early on modified schedules that vary by school.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Early release days were added to RISD\u2019s&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/web.risd.org\/home\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/08\/Calendar-2021-22-Web-Eng.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">student academic calendar<\/a>&nbsp;in 2018-19.&nbsp;There are five early release days during the 2021-22 school year: Sept. 22, Oct. 27, Dec. 17, Feb. 16, and May 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After-school programs, bus schedules and other portions of the daily schedule will be adjusted, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Parents of students in half-day programs and Pre-K should check with their child\u2019s school about the impact of early release days on special programs.&nbsp;Students receiving special education transportation will have their bus service altered to meet early release times.
