All RISD Pre-K programs follow the state guidelines required to be “High-Quality Pre-Kindergarten” which include: a state approved curriculum (Frog Street), a focus on The Texas Pre-Kindergarten Guidelines, early childhood-specific professional development and coaching for teachers, student progress monitoring, and parent engagement components. The RISD Pre-K tuition rate was determined by the length of the instructional day and the need to provide our employees an affordable option to remain competitive with peer districts. The Child Development Center (CDC) is the employee childcare program, a licensed daycare at Lake Highlands ES and Canyon Creek ES.  For more information on those programs, please contact the campus administrator.
