Children in Texas without health insurance may be able to get low-cost health care from the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) or no-cost health care from Children’s Medicaid. Both programs cover office visits, prescription drugs, dental care, eye exams, glasses and much more. Come by on the date and time listed above. We’ll help you fill out a CHIP|Children’s Medicaid application and answer your questions.
What should I bring?
- Your child’s Social Security number.
- Child’s Alien Registration Card (I-551) or a copy of the front and back of the card if your child is not a U.S. Citizen.
- Proof of each family members income, such as most recent paycheck stubs, a letter from an employer stating how much is earned, or papers that show how much is being received in child support.
- Proof of how much your family pays for childcare, disabled adult care, or child support.
