Mission Statement:

The Multilingual Education team will develop and support educators to empower multilingual learners and their families to thrive in a global society.

What We Do:

Our team provides instructional program support for multilingual learners in grades PreK-12 and their families. Our team includes experts in dual-language education, ESL and content-based language instruction, and world languages. We provide professional development, curriculum and instruction support, and campus support in all areas of compliance, linguistically accommodated instruction, and biliteracy development.

About Our Students:

Richardson ISD has more than12,000 emergent bilingual students served in dual language or ESL programs. Our students speak over 76 different languages and dialects. Our top languages include Spanish, Pashto, Arabic, Amharic, and Farsi.
