Some RISD junior highs offer level 1 CTE courses to 8th grade students. For students that begin a pathway in 8th grade, they are able to start with a level 2 CTE course in 9th grade. Students that do not take a level 1 CTE course in junior high will start with level 1 in 9th grade. This example 4 year plan assumes the student begins the CTE pathway in 8th grade.
