Programming

We try to maintain the same teachers daily. Staffing problems do have an impact. On occasion, there may be substitutes.
The xPlore! After School Elementary Program begins on the first day of school and operates on the same calendar as the district.
Students arrive when dismissed from their regular school day. They have snack time, take a restroom break and work on homework until 4:00. Alternative activities are created for the younger age groups that don’t have homework. After, students enjoy time of enrichment activities with embedded academics. Physical Activity is a big part of xPlore! so kids will have a chance for free play as well as structured games.
No. Unfortunately, xPlore! cannot allow scheduled or unscheduled drop-ins. A child may attend xPlore! only on the days of the week indicated on the registration card.
RISD employs certified teachers and instructional assistants for each program site. RISD staff members undergo a full criminal background screening, which includes fingerprinting, prior to employment.
Yes. The program allots time for free play as well as structured games and activities.
Groups are determined by number of students within each grade level and availability of staff

  • K-6th grade: 1:15
xPlore does not provide 1 on 1 services.

Yes.
Educational district approved movies may be shown at your child’s campus. Movies are shown on Fun Fridays, special events, summer programs and holiday programs. In the event of a staffing shortage screen time may be used as a supplemental program aide.

Payments, Fees, Credits, Refunds

Payments are due on Mondays of each week. xPlore! After School Programs online payments through the Richardson ISD Eleyo website. A $10 late payment fee will be charged if all of that week’s tuition is not paid by the Wednesday after the due date.

xPlore does not offer refunds.

You may retrieve a receipt by logging into your account through the Richardson ISD Eleyo website.

Elementary xPlore will assess a late pick up fee of $2.00 per minute after 6:00 pm. There is a non-refundable fee per student for Regular xPlore, Holiday xPlore, and Summer Camp xPlore. If a student is withdrawn during the year and wishes to re-enroll, there is an additional $80 re-enrollment fee. Each week there is a balance, your account will be charged a late fee until the balance is paid in full.
