At Richardson ISD, we are dedicated to supporting every student and family we serve, especially those facing the challenges of homelessness or housing instability.

Our Student Welfare and McKinney-Vento teams are here to walk alongside you with compassion, respect, and care. We are committed to helping your child stay connected to school, access needed resources, and work toward academic success and a bright future.

The Student Welfare team is committed to removing barriers and opening opportunities so that every child and youth experiencing homelessness in Richardson ISD can pursue their education with stability, support, and hope.

Together, we help every student rise, because no barriers should limit a child’s potential.

The mission of the Richardson ISD Student Welfare team is to ensure that students experiencing homelessness have full access to education and essential supports, empowering them to stay engaged in school, reach academic milestones, and build a strong foundation for future success.
