Next Board Election
- The filing period to file for a place on the general election ballot is January 17, 2024 – February 16, 2024 by 5:00 p.m.
- Application packets will be available on January 8, 2024.
- The Single-Member District 1 and At-Large Place 7 positions are unopposed for the May 4, 2024 Board Election. The Order of Cancellation will be submitted to the Board of Trustees at the March 7, 2024 board meeting.
- On March 7, 2024 the Board of Trustees approved the Order of Cancellation and the Certification of Unopposed Candidates for the May 4, 2024 Board Election.
Process to Run for School Board
Application for a place on the ballot must be filed with the local Election Office by 5:00 p.m. on the deadline in the Elections Office at 400 S. Greenville Ave., as established by the Secretary of State.
The deadline to file for a place on the ballot in the general trustee election is generally the 78th day before the May uniform election date. The deadline to declare for a write-in candidate generally is the 74th day before the May uniform election date.
The deadline to file for a place on the ballot in a special election generally is the 61st day before the date of the special election.
