The Budget and Finance Departments oversee the development, recording, monitoring, and reporting of the district’s budget, expenditures, and other financial data to ensure fiscal responsibility and compliance.

The Richardson Independent School District published the 2020 proposed tax rate on June 4, 2020. The proposed tax rate is as follows:

  • $1.0547 for the purposes of maintenance and operations
  • $0.3500 for the payment of principal and interest on bonded debt of this district
  • $1.4047 total tax rate

The highest tax rate the district can adopt before requiring voter approval at an election is $1.404710. This election will be automatically held if the district adopts a rate in excess of the Voter-Approval Tax Rate (Rollback Rate) of $1.404710.
