Lead Well Student Summit

lead well student leadership summit

The Lead Well student leadership program will enhance leadership skills and provide valuable opportunities for RISD high school students to connect with other student leaders from each RISD high school. The goal of this new initiative is to give more students, leadership development opportunities so they flourish as servant leaders for the peer group.

In an effort to nurture and empower the development of RISD high schoolers, about 100 students have been identified by campus administrators for being positive ambassadors. The students will engage in four leadership sessions, as well as in an in-depth study of their unique talents using Clifton Strengths for Students as their guide.

The first Lead Well session was held Sept. 6. RISD Superintendent Tabitha Branum praised students for their commitment to serve in leadership roles at their campus. Stephen Mackey was the keynote speaker, and he connected with students on leading with belief, excellence, effort and service.  #RISDBelieves #RISDWeAreOne
