The Richardson ISD Board of Trustees welcomed its newest members during an official swearing-in ceremony at the June 4 meeting and elected officers to serve during the 2026–27 school year.

Moody’s Ratings has reaffirmed Richardson ISD’s highest possible credit rating (Aaa) for its upcoming $190.6 million bond issuance, as well as the district’s existing Aaa rating on about $1.1 billion in outstanding debt.

The 2026-27 school year is right around the corner, and this year’s Backpack Bash is coming to a campus near you in August 2026.

The Primary Runoff Election will occur on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Several Richardson ISD campuses will serve as vote centers.

RHS Senior Chloe Grimes is turning her lifelong dream to teach into a bright future. Inspired by her mom, who was her own teacher when she attended Terrace Elementary, and sister who is a special needs student, she will study elementary & special education at Vanderbilt’s prestigious Peabody College of Education.
