City of Richardson Student Art and Essay Contests

City of Richardson MLK Art and Essay Contest

In order to promote, embrace and celebrate the diversity and inclusion that is present in Richardson and across our nation, the Richardson City Council, in partnership with RISD, PISD and UT Dallas, is sponsoring two student contests: a Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Essay Contest and a “Black History Month: Celebrating Diversity and Inclusion” Art Contest.

Each contest is open to all RISD students, as well as any student from outside RISD who resides within the City of Richardson. The contests challenge students, in different ways, to think about and share their own personal experiences.
