Richardson ISD was selected as the only district in the United States to be part of a worldwide global success story of the Apple Learning Coach Program! “It’s an honor to be the US location spotlighted in this global success story on Apple Learning Coach,” says Morgan Cave, Richardson ISD Director of Instructional Technology. “I absolutely love my job and everyone I get to work with. A dream.”

The Apple Learning Coach program is a professional learning program that coaches educators across the globe to maximize learning potential by using technology to inspire innovative learning experiences for their peer teachers and students.
“When they coach a teacher, we know that trickles down to the students and has an impact on the learning that’s happening in the classroom,” says Cave, on the implementation of certified Apple Learning Coaches in the district.
Across Richardson ISD, there are currently 19 certified Apple Learning Coaches, with 14 more who have been accepted into the program and are working towards certification. Coaches in the program not only learn how to use technology more effectively, but are also being empowered to bring new ideas, transform classroom learning, and dream big.
Richardson ISD has partnered with Apple for many years. Math Science and Technology Magnet (MST Magnet) implemented iPads in 2013, and for 2022-2025 was named an Apple Distinguished School for being one of the most innovative schools in the world. They were recognized for their leadership in STEM integration, innovative practices, and authentic technology experiences in the classroom.
