The Richardson High School boys basketball team defeated Allen High School 65-61 Friday night to become the Area Champion. The Eagles will face McKinney High School in the next round on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland. Please note the Culwell Center’s spectator guidelines, including the clear bag policy.
Lake Highlands High School beat Plano Sr High 58-56 Friday night to also become Area Champions on their side of the UIL 6A bracket. The Wildcats advance to play Arlington Martin in the regional quarterfinals on Tuesday, March 1, at 7 p.m. at Lancaster High School.
