Numerous construction projects are underway across RISD, as the district began needed updates to some campuses over the summer and starts the process to move to a middle school model.

Superintendent Dr. Jeannie Stone told trustees that RISD is delivering on its promise to the district as outlined in the Bond 2021 package that was approved by voters in May.

Updates to Forest Meadow Junior High and Lake Highlands Junior High School are taking shape as the two campuses will be the first to transition to middle schools and project to begin serving sixth, seventh and eighth graders in August 2024.
