This is an exciting time in Richardson ISD. The district is creating a new vision for students that will ensure Richardson ISD continues its tradition of excellence, and we want you to be a part of the process. RISD is currently accepting nominations from parents to participate on the District Design Team Committee, which will review the community input from the recent Summits, survey and focus groups and finalize a document to present to the Board of Trustees for consideration later next month.

At its March meeting, the RISD board of trustees voted to partner with engage2learn to facilitate the development of the RISD graduate profile, which will become a foundation of the district’s upcoming strategic planning process. engage2learn has helped the district facilitate community summits, create an online survey, and convene focus groups this spring as RISD moves to have defined competencies of the graduate profile by the end of the school year.

The district design team is now accepting parent nominations. Please click here to submit a nomination. The deadline is Tuesday, April 26. The design team will meet three times: May 4, May 11 and May 25. There will be one parent selected to represent each learning community.  If necessary, a lottery will be conducted to make the selections.
