2 RISD Divers Place 1st & 3rd at UIL State Championships

UIL Swimming and Diving Podium with 3 Swimmers with medals

RISD qualified 5 student-athletes for the state meets for Swimming and Diving. The UIL 6A State Swimming and Diving Meet was held Friday, Feb. 20 – Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026 in Austin.

Congratulations to the 6A State Diving Champion, Michael Evans (Pearce High School) who came in 1st place, and Graham Rittiluechai (Richardson High School) for his 3rd place finish!

Pearce High School State Qualifiers

  • Michael Evans – Diving: 1st Place Overall
  • Lily Ruth Scott – Swimming: Qualified in 2 events
  • Henry Scott – Swimming: 50-meter Freestyle – 10th place

Richardson High School State Qualifiers

  • Graham Rittiluechai – Diving – 3rd Place Overall

Lake Highlands High School State Qualifier

  • Jordis Watkins –Diving – 14th Place Overall
