The Caring Foundation of Texas will be at Skyview Elementary School from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, offering free immunizations.
By law, RISD must have an immunization record for each student on file. These records should be up to date at the time of registration. Records must show the month, day, and year of each dose of vaccine and must be validated by a physician’s signature or a public health clinic card.
Records must also have the student’s name and date of birth on the record. Children entering Richardson ISD for the first time must present written verification of the required immunizations at the time of enrollment.
There are several free or low-cost immunization clinics in the area. Click here to view Immunization Sources with Maps. And the Caring Foundation of Texas will be at numerous sites across the metroplex this month offering immunizations.
Due to changes to the Texas Vaccines for Children Program, these clinics cannot provide immunizations to individuals with private insurance. If you have private insurance, it’s important to make an appointment with your doctor to get your child’s immunizations updated.
