RHS Senior Named Finalist for Davey O’Brien Scholarship

Camyrn Dyke of Richardson High School

Camryn Dyke of Richardson High School is one of five finalists for the 37th annual Davey O’Brien High School Scholarship presented to an exceptional North Texas senior.

“Camryn Dyke is a one-of-a-kind student-athlete, encompassing her leadership qualities, academic achievements, and involvement in several campus and district groups and clubs,” Coach Eric Miracle said. “Camryn has been one of the most dedicated student-athletes I have coached in my 14 years at RHS, she is an above-average communicator, and has been a pillar of emotional maturity for our team.”

Her teammates selected Camryn as MVP this year and chose her for the Eagle Pride award the past two years. She was an elite level academic All State performer this year, as well. Camryn ranks fifth in the RHS Class of 2023, is president of the National Honor Society and a National Merit Semifinalist.

The recipient of the $30,000 scholarship will be announced Tuesday Jan. 17, during a luncheon at The Fort Worth Club. The Davey O’Brien Foundation awards $2,500 scholarships to each of the four other finalists.

Congratulations, Camryn! #RISDBelieves
