RISD continues to monitor the forecast of inclement weather, conditions within RISD, and travel conditions around north Texas.
- All RISD after school events, activities, and games are cancelled for Monday. xPlore after school programs will operate, and parents are encouraged to pick up xPlore students early if possible.
- RISD afternoon bus routes will run on a normal schedule Monday. If travel conditions begin to worsen, then bus routes may take longer to complete safely and transportation staff appreciates your patience.
- District staff are monitoring the forecast and travel conditions, and remain in contact with surrounding school districts to make an informed decision related to school on Tuesday. While the latest a closure decision would be communicated is early Tuesday morning, the district’s goal is to make and communicate any closure decision by Monday night.
- RISD stakeholders can stay informed by monitoring risd.org and district social media accounts. Any closure decision will be shared on those platforms and also sent directly to parents, staff and students, along with news media outlets.

Due to the forecast of inclement weather, Richardson ISD after-school events, activities, and games are cancelled for Monday, Jan. 30.
The xPlore after school programs will operate, however, xPlore parents are encouraged to pick up their students as early as possible.
