Jan. 9 is Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
There are School Resource Officers at every secondary campus working daily to help keep RISD students, staff, and visitors safe. We are all grateful for their service. RISD has also hired, equipped and trained elementary campus security officers for assignment.
These Dallas and Richardson officers and RISD employees patrol campuses and create a visible security presence and deterrent. RISD wants to thank our Safety & Security staff, first responders, and every member of our community for continued efforts to ensure a safe environment for students, employees and visitors.
