Time to Enroll in GEMs

Foundation GEMS logo

January kicks off The Richardson ISD Foundation’s annual GEMs program. This is an opportunity for anyone in the community to give back and support Impact Grants for RISD employees.

Through GEMs, which stands for “Gives Every Month,” RISD staff and community members can provide ongoing support for The Foundation. RISD employees are able to become a GEM through a monthly payroll deduction.

Impact Grants offer up to $1,000 to support RISD staff in the following areas: materials and resources, professional development, student experiences, and technology.

Seven RISD educators recently attained National Board certification, which is the most respected professional certification available in education and provides numerous benefits to teachers, students and schools. All seven of these teachers received an Impact Grant from The Foundation to complete the program.
