UPDATED START TIME: LHHS is bi-district champion. The Wildcats will play Hebron High School on Thursday, May 2, at 5 p.m. at Kelly Field at Newman-Smith HS in Carrollton for the area championship.

The Lake Highlands and Pearce High School softball teams qualified for the UIL playoffs. 

Lake Highlands captured the district championship last Friday by beating Irving High School. The Wildcats then defeated Arlington High School in a one-game playoff for the bi-district championship.

Pearce finished fourth in District 7-6A and fell to South Grand Prairie High School in the playoffs.
