Trustee Regina Harris Selected for TASB 2025 Board of Directors

Regina Harris-TASBBoard

Richardson ISD Trustee Regina Harris has been selected by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) to represent Region 10, Position B at the 2025 Delegate Assembly on September 13, 2025.

TASB is a voluntary, nonprofit, nonpartisan, statewide educational association established in 1949 to serve local Texas school boards — the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state with more than 7,000 school board trustees.

The organization is member-led by six officers and a Board of Directors made up of school board trustees from districts in every educational service center (ESC) region across the state, plus one representative for ESC boards. The TASB Board of Directors ensures the association is aligned with member needs and priorities.

The board convenes at least four times a year to provide accountability, accessibility, responsive decision-making, and financial oversight to ensure alignment with member needs and priorities.

“I am honored and excited about the opportunity to represent both Region 10 and Richardson ISD at the state level, “ said Harris. “I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you for your support. I am committed to representing Richardson ISD and our region with distinction, and I will bring back valuable knowledge and insights to benefit our district.”

Her history with Richardson ISD as a student, parent, and board member has given her a comprehensive understanding of the evolution of the educational ecosystem from multiple perspectives.

We appreciate what Trustee Harris does to support Richardson ISD and public education by serving in this important state leadership role.
