RISD is closely monitoring this weekend’s winter weather forecast and its potential impact on Monday’s schedule. There are several campus and district activities that have been rescheduled this week. Please check the current list and reach out to your child’s coach or sponsor for additional information.
Athletics
- All High School Soccer Games (Jan. 23)
Scheduled at LHHS, BHS, RHS, and PHS: Games will now be played on Thursday, Jan. 22, at their regularly scheduled times. - All High School Basketball Games (Jan. 23)
BHS, RHS, LHHS, Jesuit, Irving, Irving MacArthur, Irving Nimitz: Games will now be played on Thursday, Jan. 22, at their regularly scheduled times. - All 8th Grade Basketball Games (Jan. 22)
All junior high and middle school gyms: Canceled due to a lack of officials; games may be rescheduled later in the season. - BHS Wrestling Dual (Jan. 23)
BHS MAC: Canceled. - District Swim Meet (Jan. 24)
Originally at Loos Natatorium: Postponed to Jan. 30 and moved to Jesuit. - PHS Softball Scrimmage (Jan. 24)
Canceled.
Fine Arts & Activities
- NCA Cheer Competition (Jan. 24–25)
Fort Worth Convention Center: LHHS and PHS will no longer attend. - RWJH Band & Orchestra Outing (Jan. 23)
Rescheduled to Jan. 30. - PHS Orchestra Spring Trip (Jan. 22–25)
Students will depart Thursday and return when it is safe to do so, most likely Monday evening or Tuesday morning. Any additional travel expenses will be covered by PAOC boosters. - Region UIL Mariachi (Jan. 24)
Fort Worth: Rescheduled to Jan. 31. - Bando Dance Clinic (Jan. 24)
BHS: Rescheduled to Feb. 7. - Middle School All-Region Choir Concert (Jan. 24)
Wylie: Canceled with no make-up date.
