The University Interscholastic League (UIL) has officially released the new district alignments for the upcoming 2026-27 and 2027-28 school years. This marks the first major change Richardson ISD has seen in many years.

The alignments for football, basketball, and volleyball have been released, with all other athletic events to be released in the spring of this year by the UIL.

District 7-6A will include the following schools:

  • Berkner High School
  • J.J. Pearce High School
  • Lake Highlands High School
  • Richardson High School
  • Plano Senior High School
  • Plano East Senior High School
  • Plano West Senior High School
  • Coppell High School

These changes will come into play in the fall of 2026. View the full UIL Reclassification and Realignment List.

Families and fans are encouraged to stay engaged as schedules and matchups are confirmed for the 2026-27 season. We look forward to the exciting new challenges ahead and are confident our coaches and athletes are ready to represent RISD with pride.
