Richardson ISD is pleased to welcome Tucker Durham as our new Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Support Services. Mr. Durham brings extensive experience in school district finance, operations and regulatory compliance, along with a strong commitment to aligning financial strategies with educational goals.
Before joining RISD, Mr. Durham served as Chief Financial Officer at Midland ISD, Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD and Alpine ISD. During his time at Midland ISD, he was able to address a $42.5 million deficit caused by the loss of funding from the state, strengthen financial processes, improve regulatory compliance and oversee a $1.4 billion bond program.
Mr. Durham began his career in education at Alpine ISD, where he supported a successful bond program and worked to align financial strategies with the district’s educational priorities. He continued this work in Pecos-Barstow-Toyah ISD where he played a key role in the successful execution of two bond programs and the management of district financial operations. He also helped the district achieve multiple finding-free audits, a milestone the district had not reached in more than a decade.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration from Angelo State University. We are excited to welcome Mr. Durham to Team RISD and look forward to the experience and leadership he brings to our district.
