As temperatures drop, warming shelters and centers across North Texas are open to provide safe, heated spaces for individuals and families in need. If you or someone you know needs relief from the cold, please review the resources below and share this information with others.

The Salvation Army of North Texas
Overnight warming shelters are available throughout North Texas during severe cold weather events.

Plano Overnight Warming Station (POWS)
When an event night is declared, the shelter is open at:
East Plano Islamic Center

City of Dallas Warming Centers
Residents seeking relief from cold weather may visit City of Dallas public facilities, including libraries and recreation centers, during regular business hours.

If you or someone you know is experiencing a homeless crisis, please call the Homeless Crisis Hotline at 1-888-411-6802.

In the event of a medical or life-threatening emergency, call 911 immediately.
