All four RISD marching bands earned superior ratings at the recent region assessments, and each band advanced to the Area C State Qualifying Contest on Nov. 5 in Mesquite. For the first time in more than 20 years, all four bands advanced to the Area Finals before ending their marching seasons.

Four RISD teams have advanced to the UIL State Playoffs including the girls teams from Lake Highlands and Pearce and the boys teams from Lake Highlands and Pearce.
