The Apollo Junior High esports program was highlighted over the summer in an article in EdTech magazine that discussed the benefits clubs have in increasing student engagement during and after the school years impacted by the pandemic.
Last year, six Apollo students became the first RISD junior high students to compete in an esports competition at the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Rocket League Invitational.
