Application for Free and Reduced Meals for the 2025-2026 School Year Now Open

Parents of enrolled RISD students may now complete forms online to qualify for free or reduced cost meals for the 2025-26 school year that begins August 12.

Student meals will be available for purchase this school year, but students who qualify (based on the guidelines and eligibility listed below) may receive breakfast and lunch meals at little to no cost.

As a reminder, meal prices will be as follows in the 2025-2026 school year:

  • Student Breakfast – $2.10
  • Elementary Lunch – 3.05
  • Secondary Lunch – 3.20

Families are encouraged to apply for free and reduced meals. New forms must be completed each school year. The online application is available at www.schoolcafe.com/RICHARDSONISD, paper applications are available at each campus and in the Child Nutrition office.

Due to the forecasted heat this week, several of the 9th grade, JV and Varsity football games scheduled for this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Sept 2-4, have been rescheduled for a later start time.
