Berkner’s Anyiam Wins National Japanese Speech Title

After placing first in Texas in the spring, 2022 Berkner HS Valedictorian Blessing Anyiam has added a national title, recently winning the 18th All-U.S.A. High School Japanese Language Speech Contest. Ms. Anyiam’s win marks the first time a Texan has taken the first spot at the national event.  As the winner, she will receive a scholarship and go on to represent the United States in the ‘Overseas Students’ Japanese Speech Award (JSA) Contest to be held in Japan.
