Campus Spotlight: Westwood Taps Into Student Writers

westwood JH Logo

The Westwood Junior High Math, Science, Leadership Magnet team provides students with a novel opportunity to engage in real-world writing, while simultaneously engaging visitors to the campus website. Students research, write, and edit stories about campus life and academic activities for the school homepage – refining their writing skills while providing fresh, interesting content for parents and stakeholders interested in happenings at WWJH.

“We want to lean into opportunities for our students to not only demonstrate their writing skills, but provide them a platform to share their relevant, researched information about what’s happening in our school every day,” says principal Katie Mottram. “Kudos to Ms. Moore, our outstanding LITE, for leading this effort.”
