Celebrating Super Teachers

Richardson ISD Super Teacher

Eight RISD teachers and one team of educators were surprised and celebrated on Oct. 30 with recognition as RISD Super Teachers and the Super Team for the first grading period. The Super Teacher committee considered more than 100 nominations to arrive at these outstanding educators, who were visited by Superintendent Branum and loaded with Super swag.

Congratulations and a job well done to:
Ashlyn Laakman, Richland ES
Diana Larsen, Berkner HS
Emily Pupo, Forest Lane Ac.
Jared Oubre, Lake Highlands MS
Jacquelyn Lloyd, Heights ES
Patricia Wuensch, West JH
Faith Riedesel, RISD Academy
Zachary Dickey, Pearce HS

And the first Super Team of 2024-25 – the fourth grade team from Richland ES:
Lina Hamdan
Olivia Hernandez
Kimberly Mathews
Beverly Torres

Thank you to everyone who nominated an outstanding RISD educator for Super Teacher recognition. Nominations for the second grading period will open next week. If your favorite teacher was not selected this time, never fear, the committee will consider all nominations throughout the year.
