Class of 2024 National Merit Commended Students

National Merit Scholarship Program

The National Merit qualifying program recently recognized 34,000 commended students throughout the nation for their exceptional academic promise.

Although these students will not continue in the 2024 competition for National Merit Scholarship, they placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2024 competition by taking the 2022 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship qualifying test.  The highest possible score on the PSAT/NMSQT is a 228, and to reach the level of commended, a student needs a score between a 207 and 219.

Congratulations to the 26 commended students from the RISD Class of 2024.
