Facility Use
Overview:
Richardson ISD school buildings, school grounds, and school equipment are acquired and maintained for the sole purpose of advancing the academic and athletic pursuits of RISD students.
Priority of usage is given first to campus and various RISD-related activities.
RISD also believes its schools and facilities belong to the community, as well, and qualified organizations and civic groups may lease space, specifically groups that serve RISD students and staff. Groups also must meet the following:
- The qualified group must have read and agreed with the school district’s Facility Use policy.
- Proof of nonprofit status such as a 501(c)(3) documentation.
- Successful completion of the RISD facility rental application.
- Certificate of insurance naming RISD as a certificate holder
- An organization’s active membership or participation is comprised of 80% of the residents of RISD.
Use of RISD parking lots must be reserved through the Facilities Department and may require special permitting. A certificate of insurance and waiver of liability are required from groups that are not school-based or are using the lot for fundraising purposes.
Submit a Request:
RISD uses a new facility-scheduling platform called FMX. The new software will allow employees and community members to request the use of indoor and outdoor space.
RISD employees can access the new platform here.
Community members will create an account and register here.
